Tracy Sheridan
Tracy Sheridan was introduced to yoga and meditation at a young age and has been practicing for over 35 years. She is a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor through the
Federation of Ontario Yoga Teachers. Her teaching career began in 1983, leading group classes for all ages and needs including pre and postnatal yoga. Tracy continues
to work with students privately, building personalized therapeutic yoga programs. Her study and practice of meditation are supported by a yoga practice that draws
from the traditions of Hatha yoga including Kripalu, Iyengar, Anusara, and Ashtangha Yoga. Tracy’s training in dance and movement therapy greatly inform her teaching
and her understanding of the moving body.
Tracy has worked extensively with Toronto street youth and new refugee communities as an inner city counselor and community worker. This experience has taught the
value of living in the moment with a generous and kind heart and living a life dedicated to service.
Her introduction to the Dharma came in 2001 when she met Venerable Namgyal Rinpoche. Her explorations on the path of awakening have revealed that the practice and
study of yoga provide an excellent vehicle to develop awareness.
